Drama Ministry with Joe & Kathy Oraz.
Drama can be a powerfully effective ministry tool. Live performances have the potential to fast-track messages to the heart. Therefore, it is imperative that the written word driving the message be both historically and scripturally accurate. A passion for the truth must be at the very core of such a ministry, and the CCCC Drama Ministry is no exception. Scripts are scrutinized for Biblical principles and each performance will strive for a greater understanding of the heart of God. Ultimately, we are bound to ask the question: What makes Christian drama so different from secular drama? What we discovered is that the very foundation of it is the inclusion of God, not simply the exclusion of the world. It is imperative that we put God at the center and effectively use this ministry as yet another way of glorifying God and building each other…and others….up in the faith. God gives us gifts. This is but one form of giving them back.
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SECULAR AND CHRISTIAN THEATRE:
2. Glorifies self
5. Superficial ensemble
6. Worldly – ministers temporal
2. Glorifies God
5. Trust (Christian fellowship)
6. Eternal – ministers life
In the final analysis, all of this must be filtered through Philippians 2:3,4
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interest of others.”
